We’re going to talk about the fact that only 2% of doctors account for more than 50% of all malpractice claims, which indicates to me any case that the vast majority of physicians are not negligent. The vast majority of physicians comply with the standard of care, meaning that they act in a reasonably careful fashion. And depending on the circumstances that are seeing that patient, but the small group of doctors accounts for more than 50% of patients.

In one study, it was 1.8% of physicians. Were involved in 50% of medical malpractice claims, and 1% of physicians, were responsible for 32% of all paid claims. It’s amazing that that these physicians these, I’m gonna call them bad actors continue and are not generally sanctioned or reprimanded, or even have their privileges change changed, which is reason that this continues.

These doctors who have if a doctor has had more than two claims, and one of which was resulting in a settlement or a verdict, that chances are that 75% chance that he’s going to have more malpractice claims. And the more malpractice claims they have that predicts greater malpractice claims, I’ve seen physicians, in my own practice account for that I personally have sued and recovered on behalf my clients, five, six and seven times. And it’s not just a single doctor, there’s just too many of them. Now, 2% doesn’t sound like much. But when you talk about all of the hundreds of 1000s of physicians in America, that numbers tend to be really significant.

The sad part is that these physicians rarely get reprimanded by the state medical boards, they rarely have their licenses revoked. It’s very uncommon. And even the hospitals where they practice just infrequently limit their privileges or require them in some meaningful way to be more careful. But I want you to know that if you’ve been a victim of when you believe in medical malpractice, the chances are that this stalker may very well go on to injure others, and I think you have a responsibility to hold this doctor accountable.
